Cambridge Networks Network

Research

My research interests rotate around mobility modelling. This includes various aspects which help building a picture of how people or animals move:

  • Instrumentation of humans/animals through devices to gather mobility data. I have researched techniques to make mobility sensing efficient and effective using a variety of fixed and mobile sensors, including, recentl,y mobile phones.
  • Analysis techniques to make sense of large, fine grained temporal and spatial mobility data. We have developed metrics for time aware complex networks as well as geo-social data analysis.
  • Application of the findings to systems: recommendation systems for services, new friends, or malware patching schemes for mobile phones are some examples.
