We are seeking to appoint a research fellow in a new project on social network analysis, global climate and biodiversity politics. The project is financially supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Applications are welcome until 7 Juli 2014. For details see below:
  
Doctoral Researcher / PhD Candidate (part-time position 65 %; Salary group/Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L Freie Universität Berlin; 36 months) 
 
The Freie Universität Berlin seeks a research fellow for a new research project on "The Influence of Treaty Secretariats on International Environmental Policy-making" funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). 
 
The University offers successful applicants a highly dynamic research environment and a PhD process with excellent supervision and guidance.
The successful candidate is expected to take part in the realization of the research project, especially as related to conducting Social Network Analyses, Surveys, Qualitative Comparative Analysis, publications, presentations on conferences, and data collection.
 
Required:
Very good degree in political science, educational science, social science, or another related discipline (Master, Magister, Diplom). 
 
Expected:
Established research interest in international environmental politics, international organizations and/or social networks; demonstrated interest in statistics, empirical social science research, social network analysis, analysis of social network data, and/or conducting surveys and interviews; willingness to become acquainted with innovative methodological approaches; very good command of English and German, very good presentation and communication skills, teamwork capability.
