The College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Vermont is searching for faculty to fill two tenure-track positions in support of our NSF-funded IGERT program in Smart Grid and Human Behavior. The first position is in Power Systems, or related areas such as power electronics or control systems. The second position is in Complex Systems, with a focus on research problems in the behavioral, social or economic sciences. Successful applicants will benefit from engagement with the Vermont Complex Systems Center, and may also wish to interact with UVM's Transportation Research Center, the Vermont Advanced Computing Core, the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources, and the UVM College of Medicine. The appointments are expected to be made as tenure-track assistant professors, but qualified candidates may also be considered at the tenure-track or tenured associate professor level. The College includes the School of Engineering, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, and the Department of Computer Science. Appointment within the College's academic units will be determined based on the qualifications, interest and experience of the successful candidates.
