Cambridge Networks Network

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available within the EPSRC-funded project “MACACO: Mobile Context Adaptive Caching for Content-centric Networking” in the lab of Dr Mirco Musolesi at University College London. The goal of this project is to exploit context information, i.e. the three dimensions of time, location and interest to design the next generation of computing and communication systems. This is an exciting opportunity for conducting ground-breaking research at the interface of networking, machine learning and large-scale spatio-temporal data mining.

The post is funded in the first instance for 16 months commencing as soon as possible with a target start date of 1st March 2016.

Candidates must hold a PhD (or be very close to its completion) in the areas of Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines. Also, you should have demonstrated your research competence through high-quality and high-impact publications in top conferences and journals in one (or more) of the following areas: data mining, machine learning, ubiquitous computing and mobile systems.

Informal enquiries may be made to Dr Mirco Musolesi (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/~ucfamus/).

Closing date: 10 February 2016
