The IMT Institute for Advanced Studies Lucca invites applications for two Assistant Professor positions in Quantitative Analysis and Modelling of Complex Economical and Financial Systems to take part in the Horizon 2020 projects DOLFINS - Distributed Global Financial Systems for Society (http://www.dolfinsproject.eu/) and CoEGSS - Center of Excellence for Global Systems Science. Candidates should have demonstrable research activity in the field of Complex Systems and be an expert in the field of analysis of Economic and Financial Networks in order to interact with economists, physicists and computer scientists in the other nodes of the projects and (on specific issues) with the regulators in central banks.
 
Candidates should have a PhD in Economics, Computer Science, Physics or a related field. An excellent level of English (both written and spoken), in addition to an excellent record of high-impact international publications and demonstrated enthusiasm for performing applied research in an interdisciplinary Research Unit, are mandatory.
 
The appointed candidate will join the NETWORKS – Complex Networks Research Unit (http://networks.imtlucca.it/). 
 
Appointment compensation packages will depend on the candidates and their records of accomplishment, but are competitive on an international level. Applicants must be able to teach graduate courses in English; knowledge of Italian is not required.
