Programme Directors

Applications are invited for up to three positions, each to lead in areas of strategic importance to the Institute. A list of desired, though not exclusive, areas in which Programme Director leadership would be welcomed is listed below. The role also includes an opportunity for the individuals to lead their own programme of research (% FTE to be negotiated).

This role is ideally suited to candidates who are leading researchers in data science with an outstanding track record in collaborative research across data science related disciplines (mathematical sciences, statistics, computing sciences and/or social sciences) and with deep interests in data-driven methods and/or approaches for tackling real-world problems using data and data science methods and tools.  It offers the opportunity to shape the Institute’s research, training, translation and knowledge exchange priorities and establish new programmes of work. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates whose interests are within data science applied to health and well-being or machine learning and artificial intelligence. Other areas of relevance to the Institute include fundamental challenges in data science and data science for government.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: 29th September 2017
